If you’re reading this, chances are something in your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum experience hasn’t felt simple.

Before we talk about therapy, let’s name what this season in your life has been asking of you, and what you may be longing for beneath the surface.

You want...

  • To feel more in control of your emotions as you plan your birth, and becoming a mother for the first time.

  • Your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum to make emotional sense.

  • To reconnect with your partner without pretending you're fine.

  • To trust your body again, and feel at home in it.

  • Space to say the hard stuff to your spouse, without sugarcoating.

  • To feel less like you are holding everything together just to get through the day, so that you can feel more grounded, supported, and present in your life.

But even when you know what you want, your day-to-day reality might feel very different.

But right now you are experiencing…

  • Waking up at 3 a.m. and feeling unbearably lonely

  • Feeling so changed that you avoid mirrors because the reflection doesn’t feel like you

  • Snapping at your partner over small things and wondering if it’s something deeper

  • Laughing in photos while secretly replaying the moment your birth plan unraveled

  • Feeling guilty for wanting your partner to see you, not just the baby

  • Drowning in “shoulds.” I.e., “I should be enjoying this"

  • A nervous system that feels stuck and hijacked

  • Avoiding intimacy because your body feels foreign

  • Hearing “you’ve got a healthy baby” and thinking, “Yes… but what about me?”

There is a reason you feel the way you do.

You just haven't found a space to process it yet.

You need...

  • A space where you can talk about all of this without judgment.

  • Support that honours pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and everything in between.

  • Someone who understands the emotional impact of these experiences - not just the clinical side.

  • Help unpacking how pregnancy, birth, and postpartum shaped your identity, relationships, and sense of self.

  • Support to rebuild your relationship with your body from a place of gentleness and personal agency.

  • Room for joy and healing that doesn’t ignore what’s still tender.

In therapy, we will:

  • Look at the moments in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum that changed how you see yourself

  • Untangle the anxiety, overwhelm, or grief that’s been sitting just under the surface

  • Support you and your partner in understanding each other more clearly

  • Reconnect you with your body in a way that feels gentle, safe, and grounded

  • Make room for healing without pretending everything is okay

Hi, I’m Jessica. I am a licensed Canadian therapist, breathwork guide, and mother.

I work with women who are carrying the quieter, heavier, or more confusing parts of pregnancy and early motherhood. The parts you hesitate to say out loud because you worry they might sound dramatic, ungrateful, or “not what a new mom is supposed to feel.”

I know this terrain personally. I became a therapist, and a mother, in 2020. My own difficult birth reshaped my identity in ways I did not expect, and it opened my eyes to how unsupported these transitions can be. It is a big part of why I do this work and why maternal mental health means so much to me.

My approach blends the best of evidence-based therapy with a deep respect for how your body and nervous system carry your story.

I use:

• EMDR to help process the emotional experiences that feel stuck or overwhelming
• Nervous-system informed, trauma-sensitive care that meets you where you are
• Hakomi inspired mindfulness and somatic exploration to help you understand your patterns with compassion
• Space for your intuition, rituals, and inner knowing so your healing feels personal, not clinical

My goal is not to rush you. My role is to help your mind and body find steadiness again, a little at a time, in ways that feel honest and sustainable.

I offer virtual therapy to individuals and couples in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories.

What clients I’ve worked with often experience…

  • Feeling calmer and less overwhelmed day-to-day

  • Understanding their emotional patterns more clearly

  • A quieter, more settled nervous system

  • Less tension around their birth experience

  • Feeling more connected to their partner and baby\Being able to talk about their pregnancy or birth without shutting down

  • More confidence in their ability to navigate motherhood

  • A gentler relationship with their body

  • Fewer spikes of anxiety and emotional reactivity •

  • A growing sense of “I feel like myself again

These shifts are possible for you too.

Healing can help your nervous system soften, your emotions feel more manageable, and your sense of self feel clearer and more connected, even as motherhood reshapes you.

So what do next steps look like?
